Veiled in shadows
Obscured from the world.
A single voice screaming in pain,
No one hears.
Face damp with tears
They all assume that she's okay.
She goes through the motions
thinking things she'll never say
She smiles when they do
She hides her innermost secrets
All the time she's screaming with a pain
that she cannot explain.

Words are meaningless
Until they are put together in a certain way
We put associations to a phrase
Make it mean something
To another it is still empty
A jumble of letters to represent a word, a feeling
Meaning is given by human thought
Words have no meaning before
